Shotstand privacy policy
Shotstand ยท Last updated: October 2, 2026
The short version: Shotstand collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and it doesn't connect to the internet. Your screenshots and projects stay on your device.
What Shotstand stores, and where
Shotstand keeps what you're working on inside the app's own storage on your device, so it's there when you come back:
- Your set: its layout, text, colors, and settings for each screen.
- The images you add: copies of the screenshots and pictures you choose, kept only while your set uses them.
- Your app settings: snapping, appearance, the file type you save, and whether you've seen the tour.
None of this is sent to us or anyone else. It isn't synced between devices. Deleting Shotstand deletes all of it.
Photos and files
Shotstand only sees the images you pick in the photo picker or file picker, or drag into it. It never browses your photo library. If you save screenshots to Photos, iOS asks you to allow Shotstand to add photos; that permission lets it add images, not read them. On a Mac, Shotstand can only write to the folder you choose when you save.
Sharing
When you share or save your finished screenshots, they go only where you send them: Photos, Files, AirDrop, a folder, or another app you choose in the share sheet. That app's own privacy policy applies from there.
No network, no tracking
Shotstand makes no network requests. It has no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or third-party code that sends data anywhere, and it doesn't track you across apps or websites. Apple's App Store and its own optional device analytics are covered by Apple's privacy policy, not this one; Shotstand has no access to that data.
Children
Shotstand collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will change with it. Shotstand has no way to contact you, so this page is where any update appears.
