Not Yet: Checkout Blocker
Not Yet blocks checkout and payment pages until you retype a freshly generated code, character for character. Not a countdown you can wait out. Not a snooze button you tap through without thinking. Built for anyone who wants a real moment before spending, whether that's your own impulse buying, a family member's, or a partner's shared budget.
On Chrome? Premium is $39.99 once, with a key you keep for good.
Off: this store checks out like any other. Try Place order, then switch Not Yet on. On: Place order and the wallet buttons pause first. Try them now.

This is only a demo. Nothing was bought, and this store isn't real.
This code is just for the demo. On a real checkout page, it's random every time and never reused.
Shielding Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Klarna like this is part of Not Yet Premium. It's shown here on purpose, so you can see what it looks like either way.
No setup beyond picking what to pause. From there, every checkout page gets the same treatment, automatically.
A checkout or payment page, matched automatically the moment it loads. No list of stores to maintain yourself.
You click through toward checkout the same way you always would, nothing different yet.
Retype a fresh code, answer a reflection prompt, or wait out a timer, whichever you picked in Settings.
Finish the purchase if you still want to, or head to your Quiet Place instead. Either way, you'll have actually thought about it, and often end up spending less along the way.
Real screens from Not Yet on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, shown on a demo store. Tap any one for a closer look.
Want the story behind each screen? Read Not Yet, screen by screen. Every one was made with Shotstand.
A countdown just asks you to wait it out, which most people do without thinking about anything in particular. A "snooze" button is worse: tap it once and the moment's already gone. Not Yet works differently. It shows a random code and asks you to retype it, character for character, before a checkout or payment page will continue. Nothing is cached or reused: reload the page and you get a brand new code. The point is a genuine pause, not a puzzle you solve once and remember.
You can wait it out without thinking about anything. Most people do.

It takes your attention, not just your time. Case matters, and the app's code is 40 characters by default.
No account, no ads, and nothing collected, ever. Everything below works with no purchase at all, on both Safari and Chrome.
Recognizes checkout and payment pages on its own. Nothing to configure per site.
A fresh, random code every time. Never cached, never reused, and never removable.
A calm destination every block screen can send you to instead of buying. Never paywalled.
Shopping, subscriptions, and more, plus your own custom sites, all still limited to checkout pages only.
Pause a site for a while (1 to 24 hours, with the pause screen as soon as you land), or a real block on your worst-offender sites: redirected away the moment you land, no code, no way through until you remove it yourself.
Pick how long you want on a site per visit. A small timer counts down in the corner, and when it runs out you're taken to your Quiet Place or shown a pause. Only time on screen counts.
A dedicated category you turn on yourself, with credible precedent (Gamban, BetBlocker).
If retyping a code isn't the friction that works for you, pick one of the other two in Settings.
How many times you've paused, and a running total of what you chose not to spend.
No red, no alarm palette anywhere. Shame doesn't help, so the app doesn't use it.
Every block screen's main way out isn't "wait" or "try again," it's a real destination: a short mood check-in, a few activities to do instead, and a layout you can rearrange to fit how you actually use it. It's free on both platforms, permanently, because the way out of a block should never come with a purchase prompt attached.
How are you feeling right now?

Every pause gets logged locally, on your own device, and the free recap shows your basic totals. Premium unlocks the full picture: a weekly trend chart like the one shown here, a category breakdown of where pauses actually happen, a log of your own mood and "proud of that" notes, and a shareable image if you want to show your own progress.
A checkout page that's one tap away from a purchase you'll second-guess an hour later. Not Yet buys back the few seconds that a "Buy Now" button usually skips right past.
Guard Mode puts a PIN on Not Yet's own settings, so a family member can't quietly turn protection off on their own device. Recommended settings are built right into Setup & Help.
A real pause before either of you completes a purchase on a shared device, without either of you needing to police the other in the moment.
A real, opt-in category with credible precedent (Gamban, BetBlocker). Not Yet doesn't simulate or facilitate anything, it only ever pauses access, the same as it does for ordinary checkout pages.
Yes. The core blocking, the code unlock, time limits on sites, and your Quiet Place are all completely free on both Safari and Chrome, with no account required. Premium, on either browser, adds Guard Mode, custom themes, a full recap, and more.
No. Not Yet has no server and makes no network requests to us at all. Every setting, counter, and PIN hash stays on your own device. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Yes, always. Not Yet is a friction tool, not a hard block: retyping the code, answering a reflection prompt, or waiting out a timer all let a purchase through, by design. It's meant to buy a moment of thought, not stop you outright.
A PIN you set yourself that protects your own settings from your own impulses, like turning off a category mid-browse. If a subscription ever lapses, Guard Mode stays fully on. Your own PIN always opens it, and a built-in master reset is the only other way in if you forget it.
A summary of your own local activity: how many times you've paused, and what you chose not to spend, for free. Premium adds a weekly trend chart, a category breakdown of where pauses happen most, a log of your own mood and "proud of that" notes, and a shareable image.
A Premium feature: pin your own photos to your Quiet Place so it actually feels like yours, drag to reposition, with backup and restore built in. The Quiet Place itself, its mood check-in, and its activities are free either way.
No. Not Yet is a pause and friction tool, not a substitute for professional financial, medical, or mental health advice. If you're dealing with compulsive spending or gambling and need more than a pause, please talk to a qualified professional or a relevant support organization.
The core blocking is identical, and so is Premium, apart from widgets, which come with the Not Yet app on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. On Chrome, Premium is a one-time purchase sold through Payhip: you get a key by email and paste it into Not Yet. The key is checked on your own computer, so Not Yet still runs no server.
No. Open the Not Yet app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac and tap Copy code for Chrome (or Email it to myself, for a computer that isn't yours). Then paste the code into Not Yet's Premium page in Chrome. The code is Apple's own signed record of your purchase, checked on your computer, with nothing sent anywhere. The monthly subscription covers Safari only.
Not by default, and it's not something Not Yet can change on its own. Safari and Chrome both keep every extension out of a private window unless you turn that on yourself, for that extension specifically, the same rule for every extension, not just this one. The extension's own Setup & Help walks through the exact toggle on each browser if you want blocking to hold there too.
Confirming a real purchase (the final "Are you sure?" screen, after the code, prompt, or timer) opens a short, fixed grace window on that one site, so a shipping page, a payment page, and a confirmation page don't each ask for a fresh pause. It's not a setting you can extend or turn on ahead of time, just a quiet acknowledgment that one purchase decision shouldn't repeat the same pause five times.
The app that made Not Yet's App Store screenshots. Real device frames, headlines, and backgrounds, saved at every size App Store Connect asks for, right on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Free, and nothing uploaded.
No account to create, nothing to collect. Turn it on, pick what to pause, and get back to browsing.
