Shotstand Launches: App Store Screenshots Made Right on iPhone, iPad, and Mac
October 5, 2026
Shotstand, a new app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, turns an app's plain screenshots into a finished App Store set in minutes: real device frames, headlines, and backgrounds, saved at the exact sizes App Store Connect asks for. It runs entirely on the device, with no account and nothing uploaded, and it's free, with an optional one-time Premium upgrade.
The problem
Screenshots are the first thing people see on the App Store, and for most of them, the only thing. Yet making a good set usually means a desktop design tool, a template to wrestle into shape, or a web service that asks you to upload screenshots of an app that isn't public yet. Then the whole thing has to be redone for iPad, for the Mac, for every language, and again with every update.
How Shotstand works
Pick one of eleven layouts, drop in screenshots, and each one lands in a real device frame on its own slide. Drag, pinch, and turn anything; it snaps to the center and to the edges between slides, so one device can sit exactly across two. Double-tap a device to reframe the screenshot inside it. Every slide gets a headline with an accent color on the words that matter, over a background that can flow across the whole set.
Before saving, Shotstand checks the set for text running off the edge, headlines too long to read in search results, and screenshots that would look soft. It saves at the exact pixel sizes App Store Connect accepts for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, and refits every layout when the size changes, so the iPad and Mac sets take seconds, not an afternoon.
Key features
- Eleven layouts, including devices that turn in real 3D and devices that span two slides
- Device frames for iPhone, iPad, Mac (with or without the laptop's base), and Apple Watch
- Headlines with colored words, fonts built into Apple devices, and text that shrinks to fit
- Sixteen palettes, custom gradients, soft noise and film grain, and backgrounds that span the set
- A clean status bar option: 9:41, full signal, full battery
- Checks before saving, and Preview that shows the set the way the App Store does
- No account, no tracking, no network: screenshots never leave the device
Pricing and availability
Shotstand is free on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with no watermark and no limit on sets. Shotstand Premium, a one-time $0.99 in-app purchase (not a subscription), adds saving every size at once, more languages with their own words and screenshots, templates, photo backgrounds, the whole set as one wide image, and Apple Watch support. One purchase covers all of a person's Apple devices.
Shotstand is coming soon to the App Store. More at notyetcb.com/shotstand.
