The agreement is with us, not Apple

Not Yet is distributed through Apple's App Store, but this agreement is between you and the developer of Not Yet, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app, is not responsible for any product claims relating to it (defects, failure to meet advertised specifications, or anything similar), and is not responsible for addressing any of your claims or a third party's claims relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection law. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this agreement and, once you accept these terms, has the right to enforce it against you.

Using the app

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Not Yet on any device you own or control, as permitted by the relevant platform's own usage rules (Apple's App Store Terms of Service on Safari, the Chrome Web Store's terms on Chrome). You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app except where the law explicitly allows it, and not to use the app for anything unlawful.

What Not Yet actually does, and doesn't do

Not Yet pauses checkout and payment pages so you have a moment before completing a purchase. It is a friction tool, not a hard block: on the default setup, retyping a generated code, answering a reflection prompt, or waiting out a timer all let a purchase through, by design. Not Yet is not a substitute for professional financial, medical, or mental health advice, and is not a treatment for a gambling addiction or any other diagnosable condition. If you are dealing with compulsive spending or gambling and need more than a pause, please talk to a qualified professional or a relevant support organization.

One deliberate, opt-in exception: sites you add to your own permanent block list in Settings are redirected away entirely, with no code, prompt, or timer to get through, until you remove that site from the list yourself. This is a real block, not friction, and applies only to sites you've specifically chosen to add there.

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase (Safari only)

Not Yet's core blocking is free and stays free, on both Safari and Chrome. Not Yet Premium (Safari only) is offered either as an auto-renewing monthly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase, at the prices shown in the app at the time of purchase (these can change, and any change will be shown before you pay). The lifetime purchase includes every Premium feature added later; no feature already covered by Premium will ever be moved behind a second, separate purchase.

• Free trial. Where offered, the trial length and the price that follows it are shown before you start. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the paid subscription begins automatically at the price shown.
• Auto-renewal. The monthly subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
• Managing and cancelling. Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID, not by us. Manage or cancel any time in your device's Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions (or, on Mac, the App Store, then your name, then Account Settings), or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
• Refunds. All payments go through Apple, and refunds are handled entirely by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue a refund ourselves and no visibility into your payment details.
• Restoring a purchase. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use "Restore Purchases" in the app to restore a purchase already made with your Apple ID, at no additional charge.

No warranty

Not Yet is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not guarantee the app will catch every checkout page, work without interruption, or be free of errors. Nothing here limits any warranty or right that applicable law does not allow us to disclaim.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including any purchase made or not made while using it. This does not limit liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Third-party terms of agreement

Your use of the app must comply with the relevant platform's own terms (Apple's App Store Terms of Service and Usage Rules on Safari, the Chrome Web Store's terms on Chrome), in addition to this agreement.

Export compliance

You agree not to use or export the app in violation of any applicable export laws or regulations.

Changes to these terms

If these terms ever change, the "Last updated" date above will change, and any material change will be reflected in the app itself. Given that Not Yet has no server and no way to reach you directly, checking this page is the only way to stay current with any updates.
